Goutama, <Here is another piece of info that may help Chuck in analyzing the current situation - As per this link to AMD resellers update, AMD offering $30 rebates for Athlon + compatible mother board combo. Also, there is a mention of FIC mobo temporary price reduction (which has already been observed at Price Watch and was posted here). www1.amd.com _____________________________________ > Well, this means supply is exceeding demand. Could be either because a) Athlon unit output is higher than the rumored 1.2Mu, or, b) the shipments are significantly below 1.2Mu Take your pick. Based on the number of Athlon SKUs out there I wouldn't at all be surprised if it is "b". The alternative is that Compaq and IBM are selling a boatload of Athlons on a direct basis. If there is no updated guidance from AMD in the next week or two, "b" becomes a higher probability event. Chuck
