I like the idea of Linux -- I just hate Linux when I have some hardware that it doesn't support. Sure, I could write the drivers myself, but sometimes there just isn't time (I'd rather write software for trading stocks in my spare time, I write drivers for a living!) and all I want is the thing to be running. So I switch between Windows NT and Linux for different things. The good thing about Linux is that once you have it configured and working, it doesn't crash every day like my stupid Windows 98 machine (don't ask why I still use that!). And people wonder why RHAT and CORL are running up -- it is because people are thirsting for someone to compete with Microsoft, if only so they fix their bugs!
