Do you know anything about Jerry Brown and how he is doing in Oakland? I always kind of liked him, and my sense is that he is in no way corrupt - or at a minimum LESS corrupt than Oakland always was.

The Oakland schools are really an example of a system that needs reform more than money... its too bad Oakland exists because it gives those that don't care an excuse to say that Oakland's school problems are issues across the board.
