Thanks- your son is lucky too. I have seen parents who are so into denial they can't function effectively to help their children. I think that is one of the major stumbling blocks in rehabilitating the children who CAN be helped. My husband did NOT want to admit anything was wrong with our son. It took him much longer to come to terms with this- and he wasn't an effective parent until he accepted it. But he had what he calls an "epiphany" and is a super dad now. He deserves a lot of credit for my son's progress as well. I wish he could stay home with our son like you do- he would like to- but his job isn't really that flexible that he could work at home. And he doesn't want to raise.....the girls.
