I think with a boy, especially a boy that might need a little extra help, that you made a wonderful choice to stay home with him. Mothers are important (and you KNOW I believe that) but for boys I think mothers are most important in the under 5 years- for girls of course we are the models for womanhood, and I think girls are extremely dependent upon their mothers (or at least mine are- they want to know about clothes, and makeup and mysterious female secret things). Unless you are independently wealthy you cna't have both parents giving all the time to the kids- but it would be wonderful if fathers could devote more time to their sons to help them become men. I really think it is tough for a WOMAN to teach a boy how to become a man. Let's face it- even SUPERWOMEN only know what being a woman is like.

And for anyone who might not understand me:
I am NOT saying women aren't important in their older boys lives -so please - nobody here jump on me for this. AND I am not saying men aren't important in their older girls lives- just to clarify THAT.
