The QCOM brand name is overstated, despite the 'Brain Gone' ads.

It is not the brand name necessarily but the phones themselves. Didn't I read something today about BAM going with the Thinphone? Those sales accounts go along with the sale. Vodaphone/Airtouch, Sprint, BAM, GTE Wireless, et al.

Kyocera is a very fine company and well recognized in Japan. However, Kyocera has absolutely no brand recognition in North America. No comparison between it and QCOM.
