just called etrade supervisor about linked accounts: 1) it used to be that linked accts could only get IPO in 1 account but they have changed that recently 2) all accounts regardless of SS# are eligible for IPOs as long as your profile and account balances are where they need to be 3) only advatage of linked accounts are convenience and if one acct is platinum, so are all the linked ones.. I think I'd rather have 1 platinum and 1 non platinum.. only because if there are so many platinum accts asking for IPOs and very few regular accounts asking.. then i might have a better shot in the regular account ... they allocate more shares for platinum.. but i see folks here all the time saying they got NONE in platinum acct but did get IPOs in regular... the saga continues... jim
