Gerry, this is a seperate issue and I would have P.M.'d you but there may be others reading who are considering CSW. As I posted earlier, and you explained, the "live" ticker is actually delayed on the trial subscription. I think that you should consider making it live on the trial. It is not a good evluation of the value of the product for trading. I can get delayed ticker on Bay street and use my cell phone to call my broker. Albeit it's a little cold for that:)
To fairly evaluate the product we should be able to use it fully. I will also E-mail CSW regarding this suggestion.
Thanks
Rampant

1. It is the CCDF that is suffering delays and the problem is occurring at the TSE.
2. That is why PC Quote does not have this particular problem at this time. (They donot use CCDF)
3.The CCDF has been a reliable feed for us, and we have used it for years. If it becomes unreliable we will re-evaluate our use of it.

Thank You for the response. I believe you have your answer already and might be ignoring the obvious. During fast markets CCDF becomes unrelable....that is to say, if the feed is likely to become unreliable it is "likely" going to occur during a fast market.

This sounds like the same "problem" that "we" as traders receive from the discount brokerages. ie. NetAction (Royal Bank online tading) They brag on television ads of "fast execution time"...if you talk to Eureka of Royal Bank, their 'execution times are less than 2 minutes average....but once questioned she will reluctuntly admit that 21 minute execution times of an order is possible in a "fast market".

So I would support and suggest the company (CSW) actively evaluate the CCDF or a seperate data link and ignore the excuses from the TSE. I would presume that they have a vested interest in promoting their CCDF feed,...I maybe wrong.

I get really p*ssed at the technology that we are provided "across the spectrum" for trading in Canada. If its not the IDA "protecting us from ourselves" its the incompetence of the discount brokerages....up till recently we had not included our data feeds......unfortunately that time has passed.

We fully expect to have this corrected, quickly and efficiently. Up to this point we have dutifully sent the approriate e-mails looking for correction. This unfortunately does not err publicly the problem we are having with CSW service. It in fact allows the service the opportunity to not address the problem because their is no visibility to the issue...we are now giving it visibility.
So I have sent an e-mail but like the others on this and the other daytrading threads, we will follow it up with a public posting.

We are paying for a service...we want it!

Thanks again for your time

the Chief
