I read Ransom Love in an interview confirm the 'January' thing. And for some reason I've got Morgan Stanley doing the offering (beyond just 'vying') stuck in my head. It seems to me I read something someplace else that makes me pretty darn sure it's 'Caldera via MS in early Jan'. -JCJ --- Edit: On the other hand, there are some pretty strange things 'stuck in my head'. <g>

The Yahoo IPO finder doesn't even list Caldera, that would mean it hasn't even been filed let alone a date set. They had better hurry before the Linux mania is over. OTOH Ray Noorda is a pretty smart guy I am sure he has a plan. Personally, as a non-commercial Linux user for five years, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Other than people cashing in, big time. It's along way from being an OS for the average user and the same distance from competing with Solaris on the high end. I think someone here said recently it's neither "fish nor fowl." Maybe it was even you Thomas?
