I've got VLNC on the brain and I'm imagining it everywhere.
Today I was shopping on C-Net for a digital camera and was surprised to see many knocked for having lousy batteries. I can't escape "BATTERIES, BATTERIES, BATTERIES." You don't suppose ... Naah! <<<GGGG>>>

BTW if anyone could really recommend a camera please PM me.

Distinguish between boilerplate and factual information. It has never been argued that SEC documents do not contain boilerplate. At the same time, to dismiss all statements in a reporting document as boilerplate is inane and naive.

<<Doesn't he understand that the SEC reports are gospel! How ignorant to believe that they are written to protect the lawyers!>>

Look at the statement of the filing he was referring to, MHS. It was a forward-looking warning that net sales could grow at a slower pace in the future. Filings from every company, including MSFT, include forward-looking warnings.

There is a difference between warnings of possible factors that could affect future business (such as VLNC's comments about the improved products of competitors), and simple statements of fact (We have not produced batteries in commercial volumes...Further development is necessary before we can consistently produce batteries with these characteristics, our manufacturing costs must be reduced...).

I'd suggest you learn the difference between boilerplate warnings and simple statements of material facts. I thought you guys learned not to discount the statements of fact in the filings a year ago, when this thread was claiming production was imminent while the filings said they had yet to even send commercial samples out.
