I too am getting tired of the fighting, and I am not even involved in it. If people do not want to hear what you have to say they can just hit that little ignore button. I would usually like to hear about problems and things that the company may be doing wrong anyway. I have seen the good things, that is why I invested. If I missed some of the bad things, I want to know about it.

Gary, STOP THE INSANITY!

of course since it doesn't support COMS claim of leadership everyone feels the need to challenge it. Perhaps you all should write to the analyst. I'm just posting the data.

Duh!! Nobody is challenging the data. What's being challenged is whether it supports your contentions. It's just not relevant. Why can't you just drop it?

WOW!! Gary,, they come out of the woodwork. After dropping over 5% today you should have realized there may be a little tension from those with 50shares trying to hold onto the recent gains... ;-]--- I expect you will hear from 1 or 2 more yet. LOL!! Have a good evening,,,

Gary,
Thanks for your response. Just curious how do you know I don't have background in these things? That's where you expose you weakness in making big conclusions without knowing or having enough data. I don't think you will ever come close to me with your superficial knowledge if you know about me or my background. That is why I just don't clutter this thread with nonspecific vague data. That is because
based on my education, training and where I work I don't go to that level.
Another thing, why do you think others should not jump into
to challenge or correct something even if you respond to some body else's post? Is it not a public (or semi-public)
forum?
Think over it.

Good night.
-Nat

3Com Offers Best Delivery of Next-Generation Wireless Services

By Dale Eliason Product Manager, Wireless

As mobile devices fall in price almost daily and wireless data networks become faster and cheaper just as quickly, the mobile data communications industry is poised for enormous expansion and industry analysts are predicting a surge in wireless data use. Boston-based Yankee Group says the number of North American mobile data users will triple from 3.38 million users today to 10.64 million users in the year 2002. International Data Corporation forecasts the number of people using mobile phones to retrieve data will soar from 15 to 70 percent during the same period.

In the face of such predictions, wireless service providers are adding new enhanced mobile data features to meet the demand. Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) service providers are now offering data access services. Some will expand their boundaries by becoming wireless Internet service providers (ISPs) or by offering corporate virtual private networks (VPNs) to mobile users. Such advances are enabling mobile users to enjoy conveniences such as Web browsing, e-mailing, faxing, and corporate intranet access.

In the midst of the expansion, 3Com has become the leading purveyor of equipment suited to deliver these new enhanced features. 3Com?s Interworking Function (IWF) system for CDMA networks was not only the first solution for delivering circuit-switched data to mobile users, it is the only complete system for bridging the gap between wireless CDMA networks and wireline public switched telephone networks (PSTNs).

Based on 3Com?s award-winning Total Control multiservice access platform, the IWF system enables CDMA carriers to provide circuit-switched modem-based data and fax services to CDMA wireless users. And with 3Com?s Quick Net Connect functionality, CDMA carriers provide mobile users with the ability to bypass modems entirely and establish direct, all-digital connections to the Internet or intranets.

FWIW, I think Gary, though biased (as we all are), is a very valuable contributor to this thread. It would be a major loss if he stopped. So please don't get discouraged Gary.

As far as short term trading is concerned I believe COMS is range bound (48 1/2 - 50) through midday Tuesday. Then it will surge up, only to explode Wednesday morning following the release of blowout earnings. I've already had 4 successful roundtrips myself.
