I relax the rules and pay "fair value" for name brand or if I can see that the stock is a "name" within industry taking a big hit. This isn't Quadrant II investing, but more like Quadrant I investing that I described at the Confirmatory Analysis website.

For instance VTSS isn't particularly cheap, but I know that in January they will bid it up from these levels (fingers crossed).

Not as big a profit as some of the others doing this, but easier to build a core portfolio you can let AIM manage. I use points of weakness like this to move from more risky stocks to core holdings stocks that just churn out nice returns instead of swinging for the fences with Quadrant II stocks all the time.

FWIW, I sold GCTI instead of taking ALA in a stock swap the other day and moved the money into VTSS and SAGI. Also trimmed back MRVC and moved money into PLAB.
