Question- what happens when you're holding those calls at expiration? Does the value of the option just accrue to your account if you don't sell or exercise them? (That's a rather outrageous price for Dec. 250's! Somebody's trying to discourage buyers, obviously...)

JDSU Dec250 for 3 bucks expensive? I think not. Look at IV. Stock up 8.2% today. Selling that cheap a prem. is a shoe-clerk move.

RE: JDSU options. No, I don't find it amazing. Volatile stocks command high options prices. The seller of that Dec 250 call runs the risk that JDSU will go up a little over 4% by Friday close. That could easily happen.
