Cyc, The reason the ADRs are pricey is because there is a major problem in exporting capital gains out of Taiwan. Unless you have spending to do there, the gains don't mean much.

I posed a question about TSM and the huge premium in its ADR in December:

Since then, prices have moved significantly and the premium remains. For anyone who is still interested, there is an explanation on Barron's Asian Trader page, MW7, this week.
