Hi Pat and to all additional notes from the JDSU meeting.

THE VISION as seen by Kevin K

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity... tornato

We are moving to a bandwidth centric world...light generation

Internet expected growth rates

Year Size
2000 283 million
2001 551
2002 919
2003 1400

Fiber optics bandwidth increased by a factor of 40 between 97 and 99.

Current market size 5.5 billion with merchant and internal each 50% of the market. By 2003 projections are for 21.3 billion in sales with merchant 70% and internal projected to be 30%.

Based on talks I had with senior people in the company after the meeting the impression I got was the market was JDSU's to loose...a further stock split could be as early as 2 months away...they will continue to buy companies with technology that they do not have in their current portfolio or if the company has better technology that will allow JDSU to reduce the time to market...Did anyone else notice how Zita Cobb looks a lot like Annie Lennox...Kevin used the term tornato three times in his presentation...I will be adding more shares to my JDSU portfolio.

Regards
Glenn
