Another nice one is that the intra-day charts that you can ask for by clicking the little chart icon on the real-time quotes line have been showing up as yesterday's intra-day chart this week. They use to work for me before this week.

Make sure you upgrade to their signature Services, as if you are not in that you're just a gnat to them. You get a new phone number to call and wait from.

I am a Schwab Signature Platinum account holder. We are a supposed to get priority service from our designated "Team". Hell, they even sent me a Holiday card with my team's picture.

Not too long ago I was able to get a Schwab rep on the phone in instantly, then a few minutes. The last few times I needed to call it took perhaps 20 minutes, after which I hung up. I share your perception of vastly increased hold times.

Thankfully, I rarely need to call.
