Doctor rant response: Mqurice, It is clear that the medical guild keeps the price artificially high but, it also seems that this might be a premium good with customers willing to pay higher prices that the ordinary market clearing price. A doctor's skill is encoded in his hourly cost and most would prefer the most skillful. There is an additional large complication in that most medical expenses are actually covered by some third party. And of particular note, Mercedes does not make a 7 series, that would be BMW. Paul
