Joan, I ordered the CD from Amazon.com when I first read Michael's recommendation. Have yet to receive it, and I'm sitting here drooling. I so WANT it! Michael's description, and now yours (not yet verified, but tantalizing), leave me seriously frustrated by my unfilled order. I'm Swedish AND Norwegian (but all American) and I want it!

Well, Joan, my reception of DC radio is spotty here. Hard to say who you heard. Certainly could have been THAT woman, though. If there's a Barnes and Noble near you, I think they are still featuring von Otter on one of their listening stations. The great delight on the Home for Christmas CD is the first cut and the last - same song - English the first time - Swedish the second (surely your sister-in law will enjoy). I listened about an hour ago - stunning. I also have her singing Grieg and a collection of songs by Strauss, Berg and Korngold. I don't think these are what you heard? Good luck! M&M (?) Not a problem, I'm addicted to the damn things (the ones with nuts).
