Countdown to Censorship...
the countdown has start. IomegaNut over at TMF has posted this very pointed letter aimed at the Bosses. How long will this post stay before being taken down? Everyone know that that forum is for and by IOM Shills in the first place, but one can always hope that common sense and fundamentlas can invade there once in a while. Meanwhile, I'll post it here for safekeeping.

With news that TMF is finally realizing Common Sense and SELLING ALL OF THEIR IOM, one can only wonder WHY they held for so long in the first place.

Was it...

Horrible Analysis of the company, stock, and sector?

A lacksidasical view of the portfolio, and the willingness to let stinkbombs like IOM weigh on it for near-eternity?

or was it...

Pure Arrogance and Pride on the part of David Gardner.

(or was it a combination of these?)

After holding IOM barely less than a year since recommending IOM, one has to wonder if an APOLOGY from David Gardner is in order.

Let's just say I don't expect one.

Much of what you say is true. However, I think IOM being disassociated with MF is a positive thing. I'm actually hanging on to save a major tax loss for next year - if there's a pleasant surprise, so much the better.

>>I made good money in the past on IOM, but I need to get over it.<<

John -

I agree with you. It was very difficult for me to get over my emotional attachment to Iomega enough to sell. Yet, as anyone can see, although I haven't held a position in the stock for a while, I'm still emotionally involved enough with it to participate here.

Don't know what it is about this company that inspires this kind of dedication, both in those who are long/positive and those who are short/negative.

I'm sure the relentless vehemence of Iomega's detractors is one of the motivating factors for its promoters. If there had never been a Joel, a Rocky, a Ken, or a Herb Greenburg, most of us probably wouldn't have stayed interested for so long.
