Dearest George,
Well, of course it will take some time to arrange for a a proper wake, and it's doubtful that we can have the requiem service before the New Year, as none of us could possibly be ready-nor would we want to be for such an important occasion. It will call for the best of our procrastinatory (Yes, I made that up) abilities.
At some point I will think about what to sing, because I just know you are going to ask me to, when you get around to it.

ANd congratulations on your walking!!!! I am impressed beyond words.
ANd maybe later, I'll feel guilty, but not right now.

Higher ceilings here, that may be the secret. Room to glow in.

4.3 miles is a lot of miles, unless you have very long legs, or are not too stout, or haven't been procrastinating as much as you suggest.

To continue with the rational analysis of procrastination, if we may, one thing that occurs to me is that we may have different tolerance levels for procrastination. In AA there is the concept of a "high bottom," an alcoholic who "hits bottom" without having to lie in the gutter, bereft and covered with ooze, in order to realize that it's time to stop drinking. Maybe you are a high bottom procrastinator?

George, come come now, there is no need for the solemnity of a requiem is there? In the spontaneous disorder of things, the glory can once again be ours.

I find cyberlife astonishing too. Where else can a palooka like me mix it up with erudite personages such as yourself and others that you mention? I mean, it seems like you've been to college and everything.

I enjoyed the hark/hearken tete-a-tete too. I couldn't help but think the two words mean the same thing, they are just variants in spelling. I guess one can either harken or hearken, but one may hark but not heark.

You walked 4.3 miles yesterday morning? Rather energetic for a procrastinator. If taking these walks is something you have to will yourself to do, maybe you should consider getting a dog. I let my dogs lead the way when we're walking.(If topography allows) It makes for a more enjoyable and interesting walk. More exercise too, trying to keep up with them.

Have a nice weekend,
Charles
