Yes, I've seen the films... Actually, I see much the same thing in one of the parks down in the Chinatown area here in the city. People seem to just sort of "show up" at a certain time in the morning and start doing their thing. Most of them are in the 50 or 60+ age group.

Don't have to be old to do tai chi... Excellent for your flexibility and balance. If you aren't into classes, check out the tapes by Joshua Grant. Very high production quality. There are 3 or 4 in the series and they're excellent. One really nice thing about them is that Grant addresses the "visualization" aspect of Tai Chi... such as "feeling" your hands making clouds, moving a large globe through space, etc... and yet they aren't sort of dorky like some of that stuff can be...
