Well said Randy. While reading your post I had a walk down memory lane:-) I hope that memory actually becomes a reality again on SI.

I have not nor will I opt for the BOGUS old SI simply because it lacks the "features" you describe.

I really don't understand this need to fix things that aren't broken and I don't understand WHY the old features, fonts colors etc. were all thrown away.

WHY can't we have a real official SI VOTE on this. Bryan are you reading this???? I would be willing to let the majority rule. Are you and Go2Net willing to do that???

Remember when they tried to change the taste of Coca Cola? If you do remember, can you tell me where I can buy the new Coke. I only seem to be able to find Coca Cola Classic.

ergo, who was wrong on that deal after spending multi-millions?

Excellent post. It is the ease of reading and lack of clutter that defines Classic SI and differentiates it from the many imitations that proliferate elsewhere on the net.

Rande,

It appears that SI still doesn't understand that the posting community who are willing to share their Due Diligence and research that provides any value to SI.

By alienating their customer base; they are destroying the value of the community. This little escapade is ultimately costing GNET tens of millions of dollars. They just don't realize it yet.

I agree, sometimes change is not for the better. It seems this is the case with this less than stellar effort.I believe that the whole purpose of this fiasco is to make this Beta so unusable as to force people to the new SI and then they can close this one down and have only one as is SI's real intention.

I recently called IQC (a go2net site) to inquire about a problem I was having with their realtime charting service and was told that IQC was in the process of being incorporated into SI. And that IQC as it stands will become a function of SI. I have a mac and therefore sometimes, as I was told by IQC staff, IQC can be buggy when used in conjunction with a mac. Anyway, I enjoy using SI's delayed charting service for long term investing but would love to see it in realtime and giving us the option of using their java realtime charting ala IQC or the html version that exists now. Just make sure it is in realtime. Has anyone else heard this was about to transpire? Not sure that this is on topic, but wanted to make the inquiry, just the same.
