Mike,

GMST poll: please cast me for undecided. Thanks.

The market of recording tv programs is evolving at an
extremely rapid pace. Same for the PC/TV meld.

No doubt we will continue to have a program guide and
tv channels, but that may no longer be the way most will
obtain their entertainment. For example, people who surf
the web occasionally and use yahoo visit the main yahoo
page. On the other hand, the regulars actually bookmark
my yahoo and seldom see the main page. It didn't happen
overnight, but now the mind has already been corrupted
(er, the expectations set).

A similar scenario could be that based on viewing habits,
indicated preferences, and some marketing dollars, your
cable company may stream your programs directly to your
set top box (or, a local disk). Customize on the web.
After all, relatively few programs are shown live.

If you think this is not an issue in the GMST context, I'd
welcome your thoughts.
