If you want to know how your stocks would have performed from the day you purchased until now use a "total return calculator". It's available on numerous sites. By using this site I grew up and realized much later many of the stocks I owned and sold would have made me much wealthier by holding through good times and bad. Some stocks I sold only because I was able to make a large profit and lost sight of the fact that these very stocks were still good long term holds. CSCO being one of them. I sold and bought CSCO back later after realizing I lost profit/money after the fact. EOM
