Ten, Re: "By the way, I just had lunch with PB last Friday, and we had a pretty long talk about the state of things. It was a very
interesting exchange, because he's a manufacturing guy, while I'm a design and architecture guy. In any case, PB
explained to me everything that's going on with Coppermine, among other stuff. As usual, he's still sticking to the same
story, that Coppermine production is ramping faster than expected, but demand is also higher than expected."

Thanks for sharing the info re lunch with PB. I hope things are going well for PB, and yourself, and PB can get back here more when the time allows.

Tony

Tench - RE: Cumine

Does a new stepping of a processor mean that the core has been modified? Or is it vice versa?

"I just had lunch with PB last Friday"

Do you two work in the same city?

RE:"Intel marketing may be tempted more and more these days to pull off AMD-style "phantom releases" because of competitive pressures.

Hi Tenchusatsu,

I disagree. I think Intel Engineering and Processing will become even more competitive, so Marketing doesn't need to do what you said they did.

I think Intel Engineering and Processing are well-skilled at facing competitive pressures and maintaining competitiveness - and - are also capable of being held accountable for maintaining competitiveness at all levels of their organizations. You weren't implying otherwise?

RE: "pull off AMD-style "phantom releases"

It would only be a 'phantom release' if Intel Engineering & Processing didn't deliver - I highly doubt you meant to imply this?

Regards,
Amy J
