Windows2000 a hit? Compared to their own product!

<<The question for anyone running Windows NT 4.0 Server is not whether to upgrade to Windows 2000 Server but when to upgrade>>

The article makes no compelling reason to switch from other competitors to the new Windows2000 platform. Many companies have spent the last year testing and evaluating Windows2000 and during that time we've seen sales of competing NOSes rise. Does that cause anyone here some pause?

Some other items for thought:
1) MSFT's Kerberos implementation breaks the MIT v5 standard so it's a quasi-Kerberos system and not compatible for cross-platform implementation.
2) IntelliMirror will not work enless you have Active Directory in "native mode" meaning ALL your clients are Windows2000 Professional and all your servers are Windows2000 servers.

And let us know how many of you are running hardware this advanced :)

Some more perspective on the numbers game:
