Yaacov -
I believe that Pfeiffer made a number of mistakes in his last years as CEO, not least of which was giving too much power to Earl Mason and John Rose. But most who knew him over a long and distinguished career say that he has unimpeachable integrity, was not very concerned about his personal wealth (to the point of not keeping good track of when his own CPQ options were about to expire), and I would therefore say that if there were financial indiscretions they did not involve Pfeiffer directly. Everything I can see in the public record supports this view.

BTW I understand that Pfeiffer was also a German Jew who was about the right age to have had some ugly times at the hands of the 3rd Reich but have no knowledge of his personal history.

I doubt that Rosen can actually split the red sea - but we are hoping he can raise the dead... <GGG>
