That is a tired, irrelevant argument. The goods don't cost a buck ten.

Not irrelevant at all. The product consists of COOGS, labor, equipment marketing, etc. Those are all part of the operating expense equation added to the COOGS. The COOGS plus operating expenses exceed the selling price.
