Bryan,

Is there anyway BrowseMaster could/would be incorporated into this new SI? Many of us feel very strongly about using it.

Fred

I just wrote a long, detailed response to this post and New SI crashed when I hit "Submit". Aarrgghh. Fifth time new SI crashed me out with a message in Edit.
I'll try to rewrite later.

But the btm line is NO, Bryan, I did not call you a liar. But I find it telling that you never treated me like a partner during the supposed review process. Did I ever once get a PM to me, or an E-mail to me answering my highly specific questions? Was there a way to get each Committee member to understand and accept/refute the new format? The minima odf due process haven't been met.

You never said by how much you planned you intended SI Option to diverge from SI. And I didn't ride you about it cuz you said it was being worked on. But there came a time when you should have engaged each of us in an active review. I am startled by the fact that Classic SI Option is more like GNET than SI. This was NEVER shown to me in a manner that I could meaningfully approve or comment on. So the current status quo was rendered a fait accompli without any sort of closure process for the SI Option committee.

When you made me part of the committee, you signed someone who insists and still believes that SI Option can be a perfect copy, in pixels and keystrokes, of the Dryer's original user-friendly interface. I never got a good answer as to why this couldn't be done. What interests me more now is why it wouldn't be done. Why does the new owner want to kill the old format so completely?
Why was I recruited into a powerless committee? To keep me out of the way until this weekend's fait accompli rendered my presence moot?

I can say all these things without you feeling that I'm calling you a liar. I haven't caught you in a lie. But you must understand that I don't think you ever had my interests at heart. I feel like I have been used as a Judas goat, and I wish I could disassociate from a process as falwed as the implementation process for Option. I been used&abused. And that is a fact.

I have asked some specific technical questions in the last two days. Please address them here in satisfactory detail. That is my request.

But most of all I would like to understand the real reason GNET won't support SI the original format. What does the new ownership find that's not to like? Is there any way I can get a real, honest answer to that?

bryan, would you please address in public what you told me in private a week or so ago about the bookmarks page loading the subjects with new messages first?

Unless I misread what you said(the PM is no longer in my folder, and I didn't save the URL) you specifically said I'd be happy to know that subjects with new messages would appear before the full page loaded making it less time consuming for those of us idiots who have more than 200 some threads Bookmarked.

please, please respond to this message.

In short, I have never lied, nor will I ever lie to the SI Community (or anywhere else for that matter). Lying to people is not only wrong - it's stupid. Of course, some of you out there think I'm stupid too - :). But stupid enough to lie? I don't think so.

August(I don't think you stupid, but holding my breath and biting my tongue)
