I see more and more Compaq PC's come Standard with CD-RW drives. Does anyone one this board have any insight as to when or if Compaq may Standardize CD-RW drives across their entire home desktop line?

In this CNet article, it mentions that Compaq and HP are locked in a battle and using CD-RW as a selling point in their PC's:
