Well, Michael, if the S&P500 is a dog, then 90% of mutual funds that trail it (not to mention the fund run by one of the smartest guys that you have seen) must be some mongrel, no? I guess you do not know that many smart investors ... <VBG>

Anyway, given that the S&P500 this year has actually surpassed the average annual return in the equities market in the past 75 or so years, it doesn't count as a dog in my book. Quite the contrary, actually.

But I guess financial history is not your strong point. Which is OK. Such is not a pre-requisite for pooting the QQQ ... heh heh!

MB, if you have time, could you do me a favor?

I'd like your current view on biotech. The sector generally in terms of valuation. Your top five or ten picks in the area and the holding time frame for the situations to mature. Specifically, what do you think of Genentech (DNA) here? Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.
