<BTW, doesn't the "new millenium" start in the year 2001, and NOT 2000?>

Technically, yes, but why argue about it?

Besides, if the definition of the word "is" (a form of the verb "to be" and a regular staple of the English language) can be redefined at will by the head of the remaining world superpower (huh huh, he said "head"), I'm sure the definition of the "start of the new millenium" can easily be changed as well.

Re: "Maybe AMD will counter with an announcement of an 800 and an 850 Athlon"

why not, since words is all the produce anyway, has anybody even seen a Athwipe 733 advertised anywhere? I've been hearing about this since June from Scumbria but where is it?

How can they say Intel takes back the speed crown when AMD never produced?
