I won't recommend QCharts...

...until it starts getting better instead of worse.

I've used other trading services that degraded as they became more popular. Many of them were eager to sign up as many new customers as possible, but didn't care that they could not support their growing customer base. It's an old story.

When I see that QCharts is actually taking action to correct its primary problems -- rather than simply giving out lip-service and promises -- I'll be happy to recommend it to the many people who ask me for a good quotes-and-charts service. Until then, I would advise other users to refrain from recommending the service.

Those of you who are not yet having problems with QCharts: how will you feel when the customer base doubles and QCharts has done nothing to address the increased demand? Don't you think that the increasingly unfavorable users/resources ratio will eventually affect YOU, too?

Matt,

I am a Q charts subscriber who uses live charts on some days due to firewall issues. Generally, I have been satisfied with Q-charts and live charts, however, this week has been a disaster. I don't think it is too much to ask to properly test a product before going live. I have not been able to access realtime quotes via the new livecharts system at all this week.

As an IT professional, I know how much work and testing is necessary to ensure a system is implemented with minimal disruption. Apparently, this is not a great concern to the IT group at Quote.com.

Matthew and all

Thanks for all the responses that I received. I'm a Canadian who has mostly traded Canadian stocks up to now. But due to the terrible service of the Canadian brokerages, have decided to venture out into the U.S markets. Up here in Canada , it is common to have to wait 10 to 20 minutes for your bid or ask to show on the market depth from the exchanges. I'm not a scalper, but do trade the swings of stocks throughout the day. Which ,with this type of performance , has become almost impossible to do.To the point of having to replace the mouse on a continual basis. At the present time I do have three quote services , but they tend to mainly focus on Canadian issues. Hence the need for a additional quote and charting service.I've downloaded the software from Qcharts , and was hoping I could just look at what features it has . I'm looking for a program that has a good market scan and the ability to create alerts with formulas. The one other feature I like, is the ability to spread a minute chart, over a number of previous trading days. Maybe I'm asking for too much for Christmas , but that's the feature list for this year.

Once again thanks for the replies.

Best Regards
