X, I recall quite recently, you informing us that you always got the very best marks in school. This as part of your explanation of your satisfaction with being a stay-at-home mom. You have often made it clear one of your roles in life was being part of an intellectual elite. No doubt you have never used the exact term "intellectual giant" but I feel safe in assuming that you think you're smarter than most everyone else. So what? I am not trying to assign you a role. I could care less. I think you are probably a nice person and seem to be a great mom. I also think you like to argue for the sake of arguing, especially with certain people. That's cool too, but it would be refreshing if you got your facts straight before poking your intended victim in the eye with a stick. As much as it may bother you, I have to say that your posts cause me to believe that most of your views are in close accord with my own. I think most of my posts are made with sincere respect and those that are not are anything but subtle. I invite you to inform me what part of my msgs to Del last night, challenged his belief system or suggested he was a simpleton for having it. Show me your stuff, Rational Babe! While you're at it, feel free to quote a few "twisted truths" I've offered up. Not saying there aren't any -- sometimes I confuse even myself. Re "irrational" in the context of my comments about Del's remarks and someone dealing drugs, you have misrepresented what I said and missed the entire point. 1. I have no objection to Del being an atheist or affirming that fact -- what I have a problem with is Del going out of his way to add that those with other beliefs are a gaggle of superstitious bumpkins who stole some primitive observance. 2. I did not compare Del's atheism with dealing drugs. I compared Del's rude remarks about people of faith with dealing drugs at a funeral of a child of yours who ODed. 3. The "point" was that the timing of things can add to their impact. I would think you could grasp that. It is not crazy, irrational or any such thing. There is much in our world that we can't explain and don't understand. That has nothing to do with "irrational". It just means we have a lot to learn. I regret that you have a poor opinion of me. I wish it were otherwise. I think you like to toss a lot of crap around strictly for the personal amusement of seeing who steps in it and what they do to get it off their shoes. I could be wrong. M
