jttmab, to give you an example, the Viennese electric utility simply put it's computers' clocks back to 1972. that's y2k preparation on the island of the blessed. the German ministry of Justice did a trial run of it's systems yesterday, which promptly led to a total power outage lasting several hours. a day earlier it was stated in a press release that they were 'fully prepared'. i could go on, but you get the picture...in Europe, no-one is taking the problem really seriously. regards, hb
