Michael...regarding biotech. Do you see this sector
of the market capturing the imagination that the
internet sector did this past year--I am at a loss
to explain the melt up in genomics companies, I think
it can only mean there is a sector rotation ongoing.

Frankly, the speed at which some of these biotechs
are moving up is a little frightning. I'm getting a
real thrill out of this, you may remember I've had
my mad money in some of the third tier biotechs for
the past year--but it does leave a bad taste in my
mouth, maybe some of these stocks (CELERA!!!) are
moving up for the wrong reasons.

Anyway, I don't know how I should deal with a rapidly
rising account balance. Let it ride (it is mad money)
or start shifting into gold and railroads and hunker
down for Greenspan next year? I suspect I am going
to look to reduce a few positions by thirds in the
next couple months--maybe around H&Q.

As far as your biotechs, do you close your eyes and
simply hanging on for the ride? I personally only own
stocks that I feel are good long term holds as well--
but third tier biotech is by no means a conservative
investment for an overheated market.

Also, thanks for posting your favorites. Of the baby
Genzymes I went for Gizzmo, but you're the man--and
a very much respect your opinion on these matters.
I suspect your "due diligence" is a couple grades
up from my own.

Happy Holidays to you and the rest of the folks of
this fine discussion thread.
