Getting vague vibes of a Jonestown on this thread ... I have no axe to grind with you, Tim. We have had friendly correspondence a few times, and I respect your market savvy. I don't spend a lot of time on SI any longer, because it takes time away from nurturing a portfolio in the real world of investing and trading. When I do visit SI, I usually lurk on your thread because I value your market insights. I am faithfully long on CS, thanks to you. But I find this business of the secret codes to be disturbing. It smacks too much of paranoia and of this thread evolving into a cult ... with you shepherding the faithful into the barricaded compound where they won't be contaminated by the evil world you say threatens them. I shiver a bit whenever one of your followers praises you for "looking out for us." Shades of Jim Jones! You have earned the allegiance of your followers by building a strong record of sound investment advice. Successful leadership confers power over others. But it also creates responsibility toward those who follow. Your objective in teaching and coaching should be to nurture in your followers the knowledge and confidence for them to be comfortable standing on their own feet, making their own decisions. Rather than making people more dependent upon you, your aim should be to make them less dependent. We are in a cyberworld here where people already exist shuttered away in their computer rooms, alone, conversing through space with anonymous entities whose face they have never seen, whose voice they have never heard. Now you want to remove them one step further from the real world into a secret society within the cyberworld, where they even communicate in a secret language! Too much, Tim! Please, Tim ... use your power to bring your people into the light, not into the darkness. Help them to join the many thousands of us who succeed extremely well in the investment world without becoming members of a secretive cult. Better for them, better for you. Whatever direction you, or they, choose ... Best of luck.
