Interesting point about brokers. They will be too busy liquidating their clients to take calls!

If customers default brokers will lose. Mass defaults on margin calls are not out of question. If it is coupled with credit tightening, it is a disaster waiting to happen. Help with enforcing a lot of margin calls is not an easy task for some of the rummy brokerage outfits. I see E-trade in chapter 11! -g-
