Lynn,

re "This sounds like a little, big-time gamble company."

KYO, before the acquisition, was already larger than QCOM in terms of revenue. KYO is obviously well established in Japan, and the market there sure be very large, IMO, let alone the rest of the world.

Everyone wanted Nokia to buy----Nokia is hardly a household name in the US. I feel like a trader (I own a NOKIA Purchased before QCOM) don't like it and did not know how to pronounce it when I purchased it.

"Key-O-Sara" there you go, we can learn. Can you say Toyota. Partner with "Key-O-Sara".

This is a good deal, This is a good deal, This is a good deal, This is a good deal, (Write that on the board 100 times and be done with it!!!

And like someone said earlier: If the street doesn't like it they can just "Get Over It!" Qualcom is bigger than the hand set.....Maybe bigger without the handset....

KYOcera is not exactly unknown name. It has a market cap in excess of $20 billion, is the world's largest manufacturer of ceramics for computer chips, has sales in excess of $5 Billion

Lynn, relax. Irwin knows what he is doing. That's why we are all in the stock. Does it really matter who has or hasn't heard of the company they are selling too? I don't think that is part of the analysis of this business decision.

Lynn, I disagree. Wait until the deal has been fully digested. QCOM has targeted Asia rather than Europe. It may look very smart later

Hey! My husband says that Kyocera makes cutting tools for CNC machines. Wow, this is a stretch, eh?
