Linux mania has turned into depression as shareholders watch their expensive purchases unwind.
"People rushed to own these stocks" after the flurry of press releases companies put out linking themselves to the red-hot operating system, said Philip Strathy, vice-president of investments at Strathy Investment Management. "Then you take a look at what you've got and decide to sell."

Shareholders of five leading Canandian and U.S. Linux plays trading in the U.S. have seen a combined $12-billion (US) in market cap disappear in the past two weeks. "

But hunches sometimes are great.
After being in this crazy mkt for 10 years and only looking at earnings and potential,I am a loser.My holdings were banks and utilities.I switched to drugs(biotechs)and kept losing.Still hurting from gelx I have 3k at 18+ I refused to sell at 27.Figured it was worth at least 50,I still believe it,but if I need the cash that will be my first sell.2 1/2 MILLION SHORTS
I have recently begun trading what I feel are the high flyers and am doing great,Thanks to the Amigos.
I don't have an outhouse or live in a trailer and fortunately
have a good income,this is fun money for me and I need lots of fun.
I ran out of vodka and can't drink any more,I think all the liquor stores are closed,<sigh>
Dont tell anyone,but it is cold here in Florida in the 50s.
Lets all have a most beautiful,healthy, and happy Y2K.
