Molloy:

It seems that you have a real axe to grind. Your point with respect to dual mode is true today but the build-out for CDMA continues and I believe it will prevail.

For example, a representative from Sprint walked into my client's office here in Western Michigan re: placement of a tower on his property. He has since signed an agreement that is in effect for the next 25 years that pays him $ 500 per month just to have a Sprint tower on his property. How many other towers do you think they're constructing? Not bad cash flow for my client to be used for future investments in QCOM and PCS.

I'm not sure what your agenda is, but it will take more than your opinion to convince me that CDMA will not convincingly win this war. I won't back off on my QCOM investment until George Gilder changes his opinion of CDMA in the wireless world.

No way. I said yesterday that they high has been made for this year. Furthermore, It's is going to take time to repair this disappointment. Sure we will make a go at the 500 again next week, but it will fail with out news. Today we got great news 3G chips are done ready for sampling. The news of the 3G chips being done is way more important then the Hand Set Div. Sale, and was totally blow off and push aside. What better way to see the health of a stock then to get great news and have it drowned out by other news.

That said.

The stock could go to 400, split be 100, then easily go to 150. Anyone the follows QCOM can see the logic in that. 150 would be 600. A 50 point move over one year is nothing for a company at the forefront of the next big thing.
