Relax, just playing devils advocate, folks...

spring quarter this stock drifted down from $12
and on earnings took a dip trip to the $7's

summer quarter this stock drifted down from $14
and on earnings took a dip trip to the $9's

despite ALSC's remarkable portfolio appreciation
this quarter, I think the fact that industry
memory prices have trended lower this quarter
tells me that ALSC's operation number will
continue to disappoint, so I predict;

fall quarter this stock will drift down from $16
and on earnings will take a dip trip to the $11's

Technically, ALSC is trading a lot better than
it did this time the previous two quarters as
it manages to avoid price drift on lower volume
days. I suppose the possible shifting of moneys
away from the market high flyers to some quality
secondary stocks has something to do with it. I
also find it very disturbing that ALSC does not
react better when other Semi Stocks get endorsed.

People should also be concerned with what I'd call
the 'Rambus Effect' as many foundaries geared up to
deliver RDRAM this quarter, only to find the entire
platform delayed till next year. This effect may
cut earnings at many memory chip makers this quarter,
and hurt ALSC in sympathy at least until it reports.

I sold half my position from $9 this week. If
the trend from previous quarters holds, I should
be able to buy my shares back cheaper. If this
stock finally breaks out of it's rutt, at least
I have my other half position to enjoy the benefit.
Long term holders should relax since by the summer
ADR of UMC, this stock should be trading in the 20's.
