Red Herring's featuring NETV doesn't appear to have hurt one bit, perhaps responsible for Friday's breakout on record volume. Red Herring's March 2000 issue just delivered to subscribers features it as a "Stock to Watch" on page 416, characterizing it as a possible "ground floor opportunity," saying "The risk for investors is that there's no guarantee that any of its companies will ever make it to the IPO stage or even be sold to a competitor for similar returns. Nor are there guarantees that Net Value will be able to differentiate itself from the crowd of incubators popping up everywhere." Doug (no position in NETV)
