Tang I have always enjoyed your post in the past, always clear and concise, always made great common sense to me.Last week you posted here and I realized your absence,I went to cmgi board and did some research,I liked what I saw and now own some cmgi.I am aol long but plan to diversify, lets hope cmgi is as good in the future as aol has been in the past.I will always own some aol,but I think there are better investments for the future.I hope I am partially wrong but with all the great news recently I am slightly dissappointed in our performance.

Tang, Thanks for your well intended comments. Many of us die hard AOL share holders are looking beyond the temporary obvious. That may AOL users are out there exploring new ideas and worlds. As I have stated before, I also have explored the "enemy" only to come back with a greater appreciation of AOL. CMGI is a great stock as well, but I think it's overpriced (my personal opinion). The reason I hold on to AOL is because of it's marvelous ability to go with the flow and reinvent itself. There is always something NEW and ingenious going on in Steve's head and Im betting that I will be rewarded for my loyalty in the near future.

Tang,

I think you already told you story about how you coudn't sleep with AOL, heat from AOL bashers and shorts, etc... If that was the case, you did the right thing by bailing it out. However, like many investors here, AOL is just one of my investments, so diversification has helped me.

I think that it would proper for you to disclose that if CMGI has ran up 1000% for the year, that there may be plenty of room for a pullback. I am on record by stating that tech stocks will be in for a correction by the end of Jan. 2000. Before "inviting" new investors to join you on CMGI, you should really disclose the potential pitfalls.

John

Tang,

I find it better holding both AOL and CMGI....and qcom, sunw, dell and etc, etc...for that matter. No reason keeping all them egg's in one basket.

Have a very merry christmas
