Jaswant sees pakistan's hand in hijacking: The External Affairs Minister Mr. Jaswant Singh has indicated that Pakistan may be involved in the plane hijack crisis. He said the Pakistan government had earlier tried to get the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen militant, Masood Azhar released, a demand, which has now been made by the hijackers. Mr. Jaswant Singh said, "He has been in captivity in India since 1994 and earlier attempts for his release have been made by Pakistan. The hijackers have also originated from there." Mr. Singh also said that India had obtained information from Nepal, that the hijackers had reached Kathmandu in a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight. Mr. Singh also said that the government had been in touch with the UN representative who had held talks with the Taliban and the hijackers. Mr. Singh said all the options were being considered, including sending an Indian team to Kandahar.
