Merry Christmas, Edwarda! I hope you had a wonderful one. Ahh-- I'm not insane! Do you still attend the Catholic church? What has happened to our generation now? We were raised in the old, in the shadows of weeping statues and miracles, the scent of incense and the mysterious scales of Gregorian chant, and we went through the trauma of Vatican II, which I suppose was done so as NOT to lose us, and yet, that is what lost me. I think I would return except that what I would want to return to exists no longer. So I seem to search a lot for a place I feel right. Religion is a very strange thing. Jbe once wrote something wonderful about creating our own mythology, and I think really that's what we have to do to feel connected to the world. But I don't remember why the Bishop slapped us...do you? Stacy was horrified. He SLAPPED you???? Well, not hard, or anything, it was symbolic. Of what? Umm..
