re. PDX, I noticed that last spring there were two things that drove the stock down. Not just the investigations by several states of the billing practices, something that affects its customers, but also some accounting irregularities at the co., which is something that directly affects shareholders.

I just looked at the filings, and noticed that they recently filed an 8-k reporting that they changed their auditor after the auditor questioned some of their accounting. That's something that I don't like at all.

I can see why shorts found PDX interesting, although I would never short a company with such healthy operations myself. I just wonder whether all this ugly stuff could result in news during the first 6 weeks of 2000 that hasn't already been factored into the stock price -- that's what matters as far as a January effect play on the long side is concerned.

EAII looks like it has the potential to be a big winner in January. Another huge short position along with some accounting problems have brought this stock down from $60's to less than $10.
