Hey Christine- when you get back tell me how you spent the New Year. We are staying home and having a feast. Grilled shrimp, baby new potatoes, peas with baby onions, an antipasto tray (the kids LOVE olives- especially Kalamata), fresh rolls, and for afters I bought a big round of Brie- i'm going to scrape the top rind off and top with that mixture of butter, brown sugar and walnuts I told you about- then I broil it until the sugar carmelizes and we will spread it on big rounds of sour dough (or Carr's water crackers). Champagne with Chambord for me and Mr. X and sparkling Cranberry apple for the kids.
