Very decent response all in all. What would I have done is hard to say. I like to think I would've been more truthful and less self indulgent. I hope that I would have based my decisions on standards of decency and justice as opposed to the political winds of the day.

Pezz --

I applaud your even-tempered post. Even though we completely disagree on most issues, your tone is most civil and most welcome.

In the area of foreign affairs, I would like to point your attention to a Sudanese aspirin plant -- bombed during the week of WJC's grand jury testimony -- that was simply and purely a diversionary tactic.

Recall the bumbled handling of the Chinese embassy in Kosovo.

Recall diplomatic defeat after defeat with respect to arms inspections in Iraq.

Recall that WJC has used military intervention more than any other president in history, spreading our reseources far thinner, angering far more people than anyone else in history.

Iraq, Sudan, Kosovo, Korea, Taiwan, Russia, and, of course, his chums in China -- He has botched virtually every foreign incident. The Middle East or Ireland? Please! Those messes are no further along the path to peace than they were in 1992... Are these difficult problems? Absolutely? Would they vex any president? Quite probably. However, he has not risen to any of these challenges and in most instances has greatly exacerbated the problem through inaction or bumbling actions.

A "nightmare" is a well-supported opinion....I myself am inclined to go much further with "unmitigated disaster with repercussions and damage that could last generations..."

I'm glad we can be polite about this disagreement, for it's certain we will not bridge the gap... I

Thanks to Clinton's bombing of the aspirin factory in the Sudan and the strafing in Afghanistan, it is unsafe for Americans to travel to places where it had been safe. Hope you're not planning a trip to an exotic locale any time soon.
