Yes, that is usually the only time I will consider OTM calls, if they are anywhere from 4-5 months out. But even then I will try and buy to as close to strike as I can afford. I would rather buy 5 or 10 in the money or very close, than many more with much ground to make it to strike.

The last several weeks (maybe slightly longer) have been a bonanza for many options traders. I think it is somewhat mis-leading (not to lessen anyone accomplishments with options lately) the ease with which money has been made lately with options. Most people that play options do not make money.
