Yes, that is usually the only time I will consider OTM calls, if they are anywhere from 4-5 months out. But even then I will try and buy to as close to strike as I can afford. I would rather buy 5 or 10 in the money or very close, than many more with much ground to make it to strike. The last several weeks (maybe slightly longer) have been a bonanza for many options traders. I think it is somewhat mis-leading (not to lessen anyone accomplishments with options lately) the ease with which money has been made lately with options. Most people that play options do not make money. Good Luck
